Clem's Cruise-in 2008
The
Valley Cruisers have been partners with Clem's Garage for many years planning and running an annual
Cruise-in at the Newtown Commons park in Stephens City. This event has always been a free event but donations
are of course welcomed and proceeds go to worthy community causes. This event normally attracts 300 or more vehicles
and at least 25 tractors and is a lot of fun. The theme for 2008 was "Christmas in July".
There will not be a "Clem's" Cruise-in for 2009 but the Valley Cruisers are going to use the same date
and location to hold our 20th Anniversary Cruise-in. We are putting a lot of effort into making it look and feel
like Clems while still trying to establish our own traditions. See the upcoming events calendar for more information.

Hite's
Chapel
Hite's Chapel is a small country church in Middletown. Longtime Cruisers
members Freddie and Marie Cheshire are members of the church and help setup a very enjoyable and successful show every year.
For a small country church out in the woods, this show is a great success story of how to do it right. They fill
up the available parking space.

McCoy's
Dairy Bar - 2008 Halloween Car Show McCoys Dairy Bar in Stephens City became a very popular location for a weekly
Cruise-in (Friday Evenings- weather permitting) during the Summer of 2008. The Valley Cruisers are very happy to have
been asked to assist the McCoys on their 2008 Halloween Car Show. We are looking forward to working with them in the
future as well. The proceeds from the event were earmarked for the families affected by the fire at the Lakeside Condominiums.
The show turned out to be a great success and drew in 130 cars. That is remarkable for a first time event.
